I went to a Garden Party yesterday afternoon. What a delight !

Roots Grow Wings is a new non-profit established this year in connection with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. This group provides books to children ages 2 to 5. Families sign up to participate and a book is mailed monthly to their child.

The Garden Party theme featured local art. 11 artists from the Loudoun Sketch Club set up their easels and paints throughout the grounds (plein air). With the beautiful farm as inspiration, they produced lovely paintings during the party. At the end of the day their fresh artwork was sold to benefit the Loudoun chapter of the Imagination Library run by Roots Grow Wings.

Silent Auction to benefit Roots Grow Wings

The party was well attended in spite of gusty winds. The caterer did a beautiful job with lots of tasty items to choose from while you sipped on wine or champagne.

MJLStudios was very happy to contribute a Family Photo Session with print to the silent auction. The silent auction was a huge success with tons of great donations including hand made items like jewelry and pottery to a 3 day vacation package and lots of art pieces from local artists.
